Why should I outsource my IT support to NCIC?
Because of its recognized efficiency, IT outsourcing is growing dramatically, particularly among small businesses who until recently were relatively unfamiliar with the concept. Surveys show that the top reasons small businesses outsource their IT services are:
  • Improved company focus
  • Reduced operating costs with better control
  • Frees up resources for other purposes
  • Increased access to world-class capabilities
  • Adds key resources not available internally

Compare the cost of outsourcing with hiring:
    • Internal salary and benefits can cost $72,000.00 or more a year
    • Hiring often means limited expertise and lost productive time when not needed
    • Outsourcing ensures a broad range of expertise, proactive monitoring, and access to additional resources
    • Hidden costs of hiring
      • Employee downtime
      • Frustration
      • Time wasted on computer systems by senior management
      • Time and financial cost of implementing wrong hardware or software

    Can NCIC help MY business?
If your business has a computer, then we can help! We have a wide-range of highly skilled and certified technology specialists who support small and mid-size business branch offices of larger businesses. Usually our clients have between 10 and 99 users at a site and cannot justify the time and expense required to manage an IT staff. Especially when our outsourced IT specialists have access to a team of IT experts that in-house staffs don't. All businesses need IT professionals who are up-to-date on the latest technology from Microsoft, Cisco, and other hardware and software companies.

Larger businesses rely on our expertise to augment in-house resources in specialized areas or when they need extra manpower to meet project deadlines. Very small companies find it cost effective to use our on-site or remote support on an as-needed basis for tasks such as server configuration, email migration, system upgrades, site relocation, or hardware troubleshooting.

Outsourcing your IT needs to NCIC is a smart economic choice for companies with 10-100 computers. Have 1 or 101 computers? Outsourcing still makes good sense and we will provide IT support or customize a service plan tailored to your needs.

    Is IT outsourcing expensive?
Not when you consider the value of your time and resources wasted on solving IT problems in-house. We've designed our pricing structure to be more cost effective than hiring a full-time IT specialist who can't be available 24/7. And we're very competitive compared to other IT consulting firms. We strongly recommend starting with an initial assessment to determine the reliability and stability of your current IT structure and requirements. This way you can achieve maximum IT value as your company grows and IT needs change.

Does NCIC only support Microsoft technology?
NCIC's focus is Microsoft-based technology, but NCIC has extensive experience in the design, installation, and integration of cohesive networks from a variety of top hardware and software vendors like 3COM, Adaptec, APC, RIM Blackberry Wireless, Checkpoint Citrix, Cisco, Computer Associates, D-Link, HP/Compaq, Dell Computers, IBM, Intel, Lucent, Linksys, Maxtor, Netgear, Netopia, Network Associates, Avaya, Toshiba, SMC Networks, Symantec, Trend Micro, VERITAS, Sonicwall and WatchGuard. Our IT staff supports the most common small business computing platforms including Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, Windows NT server/workstation, Windows XP, Novell Netware 3, 4, 5, Unix, DOS or Linux.

And if you're a Mac user, don't hesitate to call us for support or service 24/7. It's not uncommon for our IT specialists to work in a mixed environment of Windows and Mac.

Though programming isn't our forte, we can recommend programming specialist partners who will be happy to help with all your programming projects.

Can NCIC help set up fault-tolerant email?
NCIC can setup a Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 Server, Microsoft Outlook and VPN technology in order to define a fault tolerant email solution that provides secure email- even for people who telecommute or for road warriors with multiple computing devices such as a desktop PC, laptop, RIM Blackberry Wireless Handheld, or data-enabled cell phones.

How can NCIC enhance my network security?
We do it all the time and we take security seriously. Our security services include a comprehensive security audit, disaster recovery, virus protection and deletion, SPAM filtering, firewall technology, ISP relationships, backup strategy definition, and planning for secure commerce.

    Does NCIC offer wireless solutions?
Our experience with wireless data communications includes RIM Blackberry Wireless Handheld, 802.11a, b, and g WiFi. We'll give your business access to expert support for telecommuting, mobile applications, and networking.

Can NCIC help our business relocate our IT infrastructure?
Relocating is tricky and requires careful planning. NCIC's expert engineers can help you plan and manage a seamless move of your IT infrastructure to a new facility, including design and setup, project management, ISP and telecommunications carrier selection and coordination, and system upgrades - all with comprehensive ongoing support.

What is NCIC's expertise with wide area networking (WAN)?
Our IT consulting experts have extensive experience working with dozens of leading ISPs and telecommunication carriers delivering a broad array of WAN and Internet connection options including ADSL, ATM, DSL, frame relay, SDSL, T1, T3 and VPN solutions to support our clients' multi-office networks, Internet connectivity, and voice communications requirements. NCIC's ISP, telecommunication carrier and collocation vendor experience includes MCI, Verizon, Covad, Earthlink, Light Path, Sprint, Verio, and XO Communications.

Can I buy hardware or software directly from NCIC?
Our focus is service and support instead of retail. But we do sell hardware, software, and provide excellent purchasing assistance as a stand alone service or as part of our service plans. NCIC will make arrangements with the hardware manufacturer to perform any hardware repairs covered under warranty so you can avoid contacting the manufacturer and spending time dealing with the warranty issues yourself.

Since we don't have ties to any specific hardware and software vendor, you'll get objective purchasing recommendations from our experts. We do have alliances with some vendors and should you purchase hardware or software from these vendors directly, you may be eligible for discounts. NCIC is an IBM, HP, Dell, Toshiba and Cisco reseller.

Can I use NCIC's services without purchasing a yearly service contract?
Yes, you can use our services per incident whenever the need arises.

Is NCIC available for IT support no matter what time of day I need help?
Wouldn't it be nice if problems only happened during business hours? But we know they don't and we're ready with 24/7 remote, on-site and guaranteed 2-hour on-site emergency service in the NY Tri-state area.
